Evaluation of long‐term changes in precipitation over Bolivia based on observations and Coupled Model Intercomparison Project models

چکیده
Using observations and model simulations from the 5th 6th phases of Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP5 CMIP6, respectively), this study evaluated changes in monthly, seasonal, annual precipitation over Bolivia 1950 to 2019. Results demonstrate that observed is characterized by strong interannual decadal variability. However, long-term trends were not identified on scale. Similarly, seasonal almost nonsignificant (p > .05) for period. Spatially, albeit with its complex orography, no substantial regional variations can be across Bolivia. In contrast, trends, based CMIP5 CMIP6 models, suggest a dominance negative mainly during austral winter (JJA) (−10%) spring (SON) (−15%). These more pronounced lowlands (−20%). Overall, these contradictory results highlight need validating trend outputs simulations, especially areas topography like

متن کاملAn overview of results from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project
The Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP) collects output from global coupled ocean–atmosphere general circulation models (coupled GCMs). Among other uses, such models are employed both to detect anthropogenic effects in the climate record of the past century and to project future climatic changes due to human production of greenhouse gases and aerosols. CMIP has archived output from bot...
متن کاملIntercomparison of Imaging Spectrometers over the Salar De Uyuni (bolivia)
A-MODIS, AATSR, MERIS, POLDER-3 and SeaWiFS data are directly compared at top of the atmosphere level for nearly concomitant observation carried out under nearly identical or reciprocal geometries. Comparisons are carried out over the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia. The results indicate that MERIS and A-MODIS are radiometrically in line. In comparison to these sensors, the SeaWiFS data exhibit a sys...
متن کاملmortality forecasting based on lee-carter model
over the past decades a number of approaches have been applied for forecasting mortality. in 1992, a new method for long-run forecast of the level and age pattern of mortality was published by lee and carter. this method was welcomed by many authors so it was extended through a wider class of generalized, parametric and nonlinear model. this model represents one of the most influential recent d...
